All prospective students will be required to take the Compass exam during the application enrollment period.

Effective July 2009, all prospective Practical Nursing students will be required to take the COMPASS test.  COMPASS is an untimed, computerized test that helps us to evaluate your skills. COMPASS scores indicate areas in which you are strong and areas in which you may need help. COMPASS offers tests in reading, writing, math, and English as a Second Language (ESL).  You will receive your COMPASS test results immediately upon completion of testing.  For more information or to review sample questions, go to http://www.act.org/compass/sample/index.html.

Compass has three tests of basic skills in writing, reading, and mathematical reasoning, plus more advanced tests in algebra.  For additional information on the exam and sample questions, download the following guides:

If you do not need to schedule a COMPASS test and you are applying for the Practical Nursing program you must follow the steps listed below:

*Must visit the campus during the Nursing application dates to secure 2010 Nursing Application packet
