CAREER OPPORTUNITIES The need for automotive service technicians is expected to increase through the year 2008, due to the expansion of the driving age population, the number of households with multiple motor vehicles and state and local EPA program requirements. The growing complexity of automotive technology also necessitates the demand for highly trained mechanics and technicians. Jobs are available in dealerships, independent service shops, store associated shops, specialty service shops, and fleet service and maintenance.
